Our Special Character is reflected by:

Recognising that each person is created in the image and likeness of God; we focus on human dignity and each person's unique gift and strengths so they can share them with others. In this approach to teaching and learning we remain true to providing an authentic, Catholic education for our students. 

We recognise our responsibility for safeguarding and strengthening our Catholic Special Character by forming disciples of Christ, as described in the Integration Agreement (Private Schools Conditional Integration Act Cl975), Section 2 (3))

We recognise Special Character by:

•  Proclaiming the Word of God in our programmes and activities.

• Celebrating the Sacraments - we assist parents/caregivers and the parish in preparing children for their reception.

• Meeting the legal obligations in respect to the Catholic Special Character.

• The Proprietors being assured that the schools Catholic character is strengthened and safeguarded in the areas of Religious Education, staff appointments, property, and student enrolment.

• Being responsible and respecting the commitments of Te Tiriti o Waitangi reflecting the commitment of Aotearoa New Zealand Catholic Church to Iwi and Maori.
